Communication in Carinthian reading groups and reading networks.
Term: October 2011 to September 2012
The aim of the project was to examine communication between non-professional readers of literary texts, in particular about reading expectations and reading experiences. Furthermore, the decision and evaluation process and the influences, that have been set during the reading process, have been taken under a closer look.
Two organizations of readers, here called reading groups, have kindly agreed to cooperate with us and allowed us to visit their discussions and also to record them on audio. There have been six observations and discussions in Klagenfurt and another Carinthian town. The observation was also expanded with a questionnaire and nine guided interviews. The questionnaire (written questions) was answered in total by 23 individuals.
